Our founder

Marcia A. Cole is a three-time founder building at the intersection of wellness, technology, and storytelling. She founded Ivy Digital, a content marketing agency with clients including L'Oréal and American Express, and built digital products for SiriusXM. As Director of Content at Canyon Ranch, she launched the company's first Content & Design Studio, generating $15M in incremental revenue.

As co-founder of Fourth Phase, she built an award-winning postpartum care brand that secured $100K in non-dilutive funding and reached 300M+ media impressions. Today, she leads Amitarra Company—parent to Amitarra Studios (story-driven media) and Amitarra Welltech (human-centered, AI-enabled relationship tools).

With 30 years in media, Marcia held executive editorial roles at Essence, Real Simple, Latina, Suede, and Heart & Soul, the first health magazine for African American women.

As a writer, Marcia's work has appeared in The New York Times, InStyle, Elle, and Vibe, and the award-winning anthology, Where Did Our Love Go: Love and Relationships in the African American Community.

A graduate of Parsons School of Design and Pace University, Marcia lives in Arizona.
